At Sitevita.com, operated by Bakemysite.com, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform. This policy applies to all users including merchants who create stores and customers who make purchases through merchant storefronts.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password. Merchants may also provide business name, address, tax registration number, and payment gateway credentials.

Store Data: Product information, order details, customer data, and analytics that merchants create and manage through the platform.

Payment Information: Subscription billing is processed through Lemon Squeezy or Razorpay. We do not store credit card numbers. Customer payment data for store purchases is handled directly by payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay) and never passes through our servers.

Usage Data: We collect analytics data (pages visited, features used, session duration) to improve the platform. This data is only collected after you consent via our cookie banner.

Device Information: Browser type, IP address, and device type for security and performance optimization.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to provide and maintain the platform, process subscription payments, send transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates, account notifications), improve platform features and performance, provide customer support, detect and prevent fraud or security threats, and comply with legal obligations.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase (powered by AWS) with enterprise-grade security measures including encryption at rest and in transit (TLS 1.3), row-level security on every database table ensuring complete data isolation between merchants, regular automated backups, PCI-compliant payment processing through certified third-party gateways, and server-side validation on all transactions.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, Lemon Squeezy) to process transactions, email service providers (Resend) to deliver transactional emails, shipping providers (EasyPost, Shippo, Shiprocket, Delhivery) when merchants create shipments, and hosting infrastructure (Vercel, Supabase/AWS) to operate the platform. All third-party providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and platform functionality. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) are only activated after you give explicit consent through our cookie banner. You can manage your cookie preferences at any time on our Cookie Policy page.

7. Merchant Responsibilities

Merchants using Sitevita are data controllers for the customer data collected through their stores. Merchants are responsible for complying with applicable privacy laws in their jurisdiction, providing their own privacy notices to their customers, and obtaining necessary consent for data collection on their storefronts. Sitevita acts as a data processor on behalf of the merchant.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, delete your account and data, export your data in a portable format, opt out of analytics tracking, and withdraw consent at any time. 9. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is permanently removed within 30 days. Order and transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years for legal and tax compliance purposes.

10. Children's Privacy

Sitevita is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users at least 30 days before taking effect.
